Kevin is a former Special Agent with 21 years of service with the U.S. Department of Transportation.  For the majority of that time he served as a Safety Investigator, Roadside Inspector, and Program Manager with the USDOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), the agency charged with enforcement of the commercial transportation regulations.

During the last eleven years of his career, he served as the State Programs Manager and Second in charge of the FMCSA's South Carolina Division.  In this role he provided Federal oversight of the the agency's grant-funded commercial transportation programs that are administered by the State's Commercial enforcement agency and Department of Motor Vehicles.  This included the Compliance Investigations, New Entrant Audit, Roadside Inspections and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Programs.

After leaving the FMCSA in 2016 Kevin started Commercial Transportation Safety Associates, CTSA, through which he has assisted numerous trucking and bus companies with complying with the DOT safety regulations, and establishing an effective safety program.

Kevin understood that its impossible for commercial transportation companies to maintain good CSA Safety scores if no one is regularly talking to the drivers about safety and compliance.  He also recognized that many companies lacked sufficient understanding of the Federal requirements and were reluctant to pull drivers off the road to come into the office for critical safety meetings.

To meet this vital need, in 2021, Kevin established DriverSafetyMeetings.com to consistently provide drivers with the information they need to receive fewer roadside violations.  This  results in improved company safety scores which prevents increased insurance rates and policy cancelations, brokers from backing away, and safety investigations by the DOT.
